30 Minute AUM CIRCLE: We will chant AUM 108 times for AUM is the reset button, alighning you back to all that is pure. This will push all negative vibrations away from you as you re-align with the vibration of all things.
The AIR element to cleanse the MENTAL body.
20 MINUTE Breathe-Work and Reiki Healing (presented by Yoga With Shawna's Reiki Angels) to bring fresh oxygen to the brain to release overwhelming thoughts that keep us heavy.
The WATER ELEMENT to cleanse the EMOTIONAL body.
We will use a psychologically proven "talk therapy" technique with another human being that will teach you how to release your deep emotions in a healthy way: not one that enables re-living. Then..we will surrender in a cleanse with water. Bring a towel. You will not forget this savasana.

In this workshop, we will address problematic areas as we build on foundational postures towards health in the hips and spine. Learn powerful postures to build into your yoga practice that can be utilized for a lifetime. Implementing the six movements of the hips, including: extension, flexion, abduction, adduction, internal and external rotation, will help to create freedom and ease into the body.
As we focus on opening the hips and releasing tightness and tension, we become more aware of areas in our life that need attention. We will investigate areas where we are living in an unconscious state and living in the past.
This class is suitable for all level of students as well as a powerful education opportunity for continuing yoga teachers.
What to bring: a yoga strap or a towel for use as a prop.
Backbends cultivate a strong energetic response in the body and have the tendency to either stimulate passion and excitement or fear and anxiety. In the deepest dimension, they shed light on our relationship with ourselves and how we may be unconsciously limiting love and connection in our lives through fear of the unknown or limiting beliefs. In this explorative vinyasa-style practice, you will learn the different types of backbends and what areas of the body need to be stretched and strengthened to access a greater sense of ease in opening. You will be guided safely through steps on how to develop a strong and steady foundation (create boundary) to support your heart opening practice (access freedom) and fully receive the benefits of a more compassionate, empowered and connected relationship with yourself and others. The practice will end by with a loving kindness meditation that will harness the energy you’ve created and inspire you to bring more love to yourself, your community, and the world. All levels welcome!
Our core is the combination of strong, well-sequenced groupings of muscles that are widespread in our bodies. Learn how strengthening your core will not only benefit your yoga practice but open your third chakra, the Manipura, which governs your self-esteem, warrior energy and metabolism. Discover exactly how your core can improve your balance, inversions and take your yoga practice to the next level. The first half of this workshop you will learn cues and techniques to engage and strengthen your core in sun salutations and other asanas. The second half of this class we will put our core strength to the test practicing inversions for all-levels.
.The Yoga Sutras of Patanjal is often taught from an experiential viewpoint based on the practice of Modern Postural Yoga. Although useful for this purpose, the text was not originally complied with this in mind. Come explore glosses, or insight, from the saints, sages, pundits, and masters of yoga through the ages. Begin to decode what this masterful text reveals about the pathways of yoga and its many practices.
APM practice delivers sequences which move students through their unique practice sequences of breathcentric asana (the "A" in APM), preparing students properly to sit for the "P" in APM- a guided pranayam practice technique intended to perfectly compliment the asana practice. Chanting/mantra may be included, but it is never required- students can join in or sit, listen, and absorb the sacred sounds. The "M" in APM stands for meditation- as every APM practice concludes with time for students to sit ease-fully in the silent stillness which carries them into the state of meditation. You're going to want to get up early Sunday morning for this one..
We are diving deep into our past to release that which does not serve us so we can be our truest and highest best self. In this unforgettable workshop led by founder of SDYF, Shawna Schenk, you will experience at Past Life Regression in which you will connect deeply with your soul memories, excessing a part of who you were in a past life other than this one. This meditation will bring you clarity on why you are the way you are and how you can be your best self.
Then we are connecting with your present body and your cells. Deep within your cells and DNA are hurts and pains that are not used but have been passed down to you. We will release them using meditation, reiki, and sound healing.
Science had proven that we can reprogram our DNA: in fact, 90% of DNA that we currently hold is “Junk DNA” programmed from conditioning and emotions that can cause dis-ease in our cells. A recent study from the Institute of HeartMath has entirely overturned the expired notion that DNA is permanently fixed and unchangeable. We can re-write our DNA using words and frequencies and that is exactly what we will do at the conclusion of this workshop.
This workshop will allow you to live powerfully in the present by understanding who you were and keeping the positive parts of what was passed down to you. Bring a notebook.
Yoga Sutra of Patanajali 2.47 states “tatah dvandvah anabhighatah” From then on, the sadhaka is undisturbed by dualities. In BKS Iyengar’s commentary of this sutra he elaborates saying “The effect of Asana is to put an end to the dualities or differentiation between the body, mind and soul. None of the pairs of opposites (joy/ sorrow) can exist for the sadhaka who is one with body, mind and soul.”
In this session we will practice a sequence of asanas designed by BKS Iyengar to develop this emotional stability. The asanas when done with alignment and for sufficient timings will calm the mind, balance the intelligence of head and heart, stimulate positive thinking, bring quietness in the body and allow one to experience inner silence.
*Students should be free of any physical conditions for which inversions and backbends are contraindicated and currently practicing headstand, shoulderstand and backbends in order to attend this session.

To close this epic weekend, we leave you with the most POWERFUL Savasana: 30 minutes of complete surrender as you roll out your mat and just absorb all that you released prior to the festival and all that you've become after this weekend. You will rest in Corpse Pose with hundreds of festival goers to culimate this weekend and all your growth and the fun we had together.
The best part? You will be in the center of the ocean!!! Savasana will happen on the largest pier on the west coast, the OB Pier. The ocean will be crashing below you as you breath in salt air and surrender.
What did the ancient yogis have to say about addiction and self-destructive behaviors?
